Complete doubles entries – the partner market helps!

While in the mixed doubles all pairings are fixed because all women willing to play have already found a partner, this is not yet the case for the men’s doubles and the women’s doubles.

The button “Doubles & Mixed” in the upper menu bar shows which pairings have already been decided and which players are still looking for a partner for the doubles. You can also see there who, according to information so far, does not want to play doubles or where the tournament management does not know whether the player wants to play doubles or not.

By the way, if any of these players shown as “unclear” on the homepage have found a doubles partner by Friday noon, please email it to i.plank@pingpongparkinson.at.

Those who have not yet found a partner still have until Monday, 25.09.2023 at 12.30 p.m. to search.

This is when the Partner Market, which has been set up especially for this purpose and is located in Exhibition Hall 1 near the Information Office, ends.

The Partner Market will be open on

Sunday from 2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. and on
Monday from 09.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Until then, all players with a partner must also confirm their entry there with their signature, so that a pairing is not possibly drawn that has only come about at the request of one of the two partners. By the way, the last sentence also applies to all women and men from the mixed pairs.

Classification

The division into the three classes in doubles and mixed shall then be made exclusively on the basis of the sum of the two playing strength numbers of the two partners in such a way that the best third shall be allocated to class 1, the second best to class 2 and the third best to class 3, although consideration shall still be given to forming as many groups of four and as few groups of three as possible. Appeals against the resulting class division in doubles and mixed are not permitted. Those who find themselves in a class that is too high or too low would have been better off entering with a weaker or stronger partner respectively.
