The 50 competition tables are already due to arrive in Wels on 19 September. 48 of them will be set up after the red table tennis floor has been laid. Two will remain untouched for the time being as a reserve. In the preliminary and intermediate round matches on the first three days of the tournament. six rows of eight tables each will be set up in the exhibition hall 6 in Wels. Between rows 1 and 2 there will be an aisle, between rows 3 and 4 there will be a 5-metre wide central aisle, and in the other half of the hall between rows 5 and 6 there will be a third aisle. In addition, there will also be aisles between row 1 and the left wall of the hall and between row 6 and the right wall of the hall. By the way, the eight tables in the six rows will not be divided among themselves by court boundaries in order to gain space.
On the last two days of the tournament with the knockout rounds in singles, doubles and mixed, there will then only be 24 tables – but these will be in 24 individual boxes. There will be two adjoining rows of six tables in each half of the hall. Aisles will then be on the left wall of the hall, in the middle and on the right wall of the hall. On the final day on Saturday, by the way, only twelve tables will be needed. However, the other twelve tables will not be dismantled, but will be available for the players still in the competition to practice.
Bereits am 19. September sollen in Wels die 50 Wettkampftische eintreffen, von denen dann nach dem Verlegen des roten Tischtennisbodens 48 darauf aufgebaut werden – zwei bleiben als Reserve erst einmal unberührt. In den Vor- und Zwischenrundenspielen an den ersten drei Turniertagen werden viele Tische gebraucht, und so werden in der Messehalle 6 in Wels sechs Reihen mit je acht Tischen aufgebaut werden. Zwischen den Reihen 1 und 2 wird ein Gang sein, zwischen den Reihen 3 und 4 befindet sich der 5 Meter breite Mittelgang, und spiegelbildlich dazu wird in der anderen Hallenhälfte zwischen den Reihen 5 und 6 ein dritter Gang sein. Zusätzlich gibt es noch zwischen Reihe 1 und der linken Hallenwand und zwischen Reihe 6 und der rechten Hallenwand ebenfalls Gänge. Die acht Tische in den sechs Reihen werden untereinander übrigens nicht durch Spielfeldbegrenzungen unterteilt, um Platz zu gewinnen.
An den beiden letzten Turniertagen mit den KO-Runden im Einzel, Doppel und Mixed werden dann nur noch 24 Tische stehen – diese dann allerdings in 24 einzelnen Boxen. In jeder Hallenhälfte werden zwei aneinandergrenzende Reihen mit je sechs Tischen stehen. Gänge sind dann an der linken Hallenwand, in der Mitte und an der rechten Hallenwand. Am Schlusstag am Samstag werden übrigens nur noch zwölf Tische gebraucht. Allerdings werden die anderen zwölf Tische nicht abgebaut, sondern stehen den noch im Wettbewerb verbliebenen Spielern zum Einspielen zur Verfügung.
