26 countries will start in Lignano

Players from 26 different countries have registered for Lignano 2025, which will improve the previous record of 23 countries (Wels 2023). No country is new – all 26 took part at least once in the past. Still missing from this list are some European countries with large populations, including Turkey and Greece, where table tennis is unfortunately not yet important for people with Parkinson’s disease. As in four of the last five tournaments, four continents are again represented, with the vast majority of players coming from Europe. North America will start with six US-Americans, South America with one Chilean woman, and Asia is represented by 18 Israelis and one Indian and one Japanese. Africa and Australia/Oceania, on the other hand, have never sent representatives to the PingPongParkinson’s World Cup.
