It has now been confirmed that the 16 tables in the two halls on the upper floor of the Bella Italia hall complex, the Orange Room and the Blue Room, will only be used for the preliminary rounds of the singles and doubles on the first two days of competition, Tuesday and Wednesday. At the same time, 22 additional tables will be in use in the main hall.
From Thursday onwards, the 22 tables in the main hall, which will be arranged in two rows of eleven tables each, will suffice. There will be an aisle between the two rows and the stands, as well as in the middle of the hall. This will divide the two rows into two sub-rows of six and five tables. Incidentally, these six and five tables in the two rows will not be separated by court boundaries in order to save space.
On the final day on Sunday, only 12 tables will be needed. However, additional tables will still be available as spare tables and for the players still in the competition to warm up.
Regardless of this, the 16 tables on the upper floor can be used for training from Thursday onwards.
