After the end of the 6th PingPongParkinson World Championships in Lignano, there have been some changes at the top of the all-time rankings. Behind Thorsten Flues, who is now the undisputed leader with eleven titles, there have been slight changes in the chasing pack. With her fifth gold medal, Silke Kind is now in second place, and Thorsten Boomhuis is now the only player alongside Ilya Rozenblat with four world championship titles. Melanie Jeska has improved from 15th to 5th place and now has three gold medals, as does Rie Koyama. Of the 22 people with two gold medals, Norbert Hase is the most successful, as he is in 7th place with a total of seven silver medals, while Margie Alley has collected four silver and four bronze medals. The list of people who have won at least one bronze medal at the PingPongParkinson World Championships now includes 220 entries.
Of course, the list of people who have participated at least once is even longer: there are now 634 PPP players! 320 of them have participated exactly once, 148 twice. A total of 98 players have participated three times, and 39 people have participated four times. 18 people have only missed once, with 16 of them referring to the first PPP World Cup in 2019 in Pleasantville (USA). Roberto Ribeiro Morand (BRA) and Holger Teppe (GER) were not there for the first time this time, so the list of permanent starters has been reduced by two to eleven: Margie Alley, Nenad Bach, Hamid Ezzat-Ahmadi and Ilya Rozenblat (all USA), Erik Astrand and Maria Wäneskog (both Sweden), Thorsten Boomhuis and Harry Wissler (both Germany), Damasio Caeiro (Portugal), Jesper Jerslund (Denmark) and Martin Zagar (Croatia).
