Three year hunt countdown (Part 2)

The three-year hunt is ticking down.
We now have only two.
Those twelve months flew by in a flash
And there’s still so much to do.

Ask yourself what you have done,
What contribution have you made?
Have you given a moment’s thought
To how this should be played?

We can write to politicians
And get them on our side.
Take our case to governments
And spread the word worldwide.

Talk to everyone who’ll listen,
Tell them of our plan.
Get them to join with us
And do everything they can.

It’s no good investing thousands
Into R and D*
Then have to shell out millions
To care for you and me.

We want new medication,
Not one that’s decades old.
Don’t hang back and keep quiet,
Wave banners and be bold.

We’ve been so very patient,
While our skills have ebbed away.
Now we’re through with waiting,
It’s time we had our say.

Two years to find the answer
The cure, our Holy Grail.
Our sacred mission continues
My friends, we must not fail.
