Question: Where is the best place to find out more about the 2026 PPP World Cup in Hanover?

Question: When I registered for Lignano 2025, I paid 20 euros to secure a place in Hannover 2026. Why do I still have to pay the full entry fee of 95 euros for Hannover?
Answer: To avoid complicating the process of monitoring payment receipts for the 2026 World Championships, it was decided that the 20 euros paid in 2025 to reserve a place would not be deducted from the 2026 invoices. You must therefore pay €95.00. In return, everyone who paid the €20 when registering for Lignano 2025 will be refunded this amount in cash upon accreditation in Hanover.
Question: I have taken part in several PPP World Championships before and have always had to get accreditation for my accompanying persons. How does this work in Hanover?
Answer: Having analysed previous practice, we have found that accrediting accompanying persons serves no purpose, but merely creates additional work and costs. Simply bring your accompanying persons with you without accreditation. They will have free access to all halls and stands even without accreditation and can take part in all events as spectators, support staff, listeners or guests, e.g. at the evening Grill & Chill.
Question: I registered via the designated registration platform and paid the fee immediately upon receiving the invoice, but I still cannot find my name on the list of participants. Why is that?
Answer: Please bear with us. The process of matching registrations on the platform with incoming payments is not carried out by a computer programme, but by people who need time to do so. In some cases, bank processing times may also be longer than you might expect. Only if you still do not appear on the list of participants after ten days is there a reason to make an enquiry.
Question: I already know who I want to play doubles and mixed doubles with. How can I register for these?
Answer: Registration for doubles and mixed doubles is not yet open. Until it has been decided in which basic class the players must compete in doubles and mixed doubles, there is no point in registering. We will announce the basis class for all players in mid-August, which must then be taken into account for the singles, as well as for the doubles and mixed doubles registrations. Therefore, registration for these two competitions will only be possible between 6 and 16 September 2026. By then, we will provide detailed information on how to register. Please also bear in mind that there is still a long time to go until then. Unfortunately, some players will have to withdraw their entries by then for various reasons. To avoid having to process numerous changes to doubles pairs who ultimately do not play together, we have scheduled the formation of the doubles and mixed pairs for the period shortly before the tournament.
Question: I forgot to order the free jersey. How can I now get a jersey in the right size?
Answer: If you email us your jersey size at germany2026@pppwc.org, we will add you to a list. You will then receive the jersey in your size when you collect your accreditation in Hanover.
Question: How do I prove that I have Parkinson’s disease?
Answer: You do not need to do anything unless asked. We have the medical certificates from the most recent PingPongParkinson tournaments and will cross-check these with the registrations for 2026 over the coming months. Anyone who has not taken part in a PPP tournament recently and for whom we therefore do not yet have a certificate will be asked by us via email in due course to submit their certificate. This must be a certificate issued by a doctor in Latin script, clearly stating when you were first diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
